First 1 GHz control for mobile work machines

(Mynewsdesk) Hirschmann MCS is offering its customers now a new powerful 1 GHz control for mobile use under toughest conditions. Apart from high performance, cSCALE C8 Control stands out for its modular structure and flexible programming. The unit is especially robust and shock-proof in extreme situations.

Increased process speed, extended functionality and reliable operating safety, even under the most adverse operating conditions – Hirschmann MCS now provides the new powerful cSCALE C8 Control with 2 GB flash data storage. The high-performance control solution for mobile machines, such as construction and building materials machines, agricultural and forestry machines, materials handling machines, municipal and special vehicles grows with its requirements. When it is dusty, slushy or dirty, the user can still rely a hundred percent on cSCALE C8.

Performance and flexibility as a response to customer requests

The housing design of the PLC high-performance control is especially robust in the two protection classes IP20 and IP66/67, and ensures shock and vibration resistance which is required in mobile application. The housing in IP20 version already protects the electronics against mechanical stress caused by impact, shock and vibrations. The highly stable resistant pressure cast housing in IP66/67 design withstands also the direct influence of dirt, moisture and water when used in the roughest surroundings.

Intelligent I/O – tailor-made configurations

As a supplier of flexible components for customer-specific use, Hirschmann MCS has thought of everything in cSCALE C8 Control as well. Up to 300 I/O can be modularly combined in the control. The intelligent I/O has a high-degree diagnosis function. The powerful self-diagnosis and monitoring functions are designed to immediately recognise the fault. Programming can be carried out flexibly with CoDeSys 3.5 or C++. A 2 GB flash storage space is available for programme and data storage.

Strong performance – comprehensive solution for highest demands

The new cSCALE C8 Control is perfectly suited for mobile use, if a high-end CPU performance (1 GHz, HW FPU), a tailor-made I/O configuration or a special I/O (diagnosis, Namur …) is required. Apart from the standard interfaces Ethernet and CANopen, other communication interfaces, such as CANopen Safety, J1939 and USB, are available when required. As a standard feature the integrated USB interface offers the option for easy software updates as well as uploads of data logger data using an USB stick.
